Tune-Ups
There are several maintenance items that should be performed prior to the to the 40,000 mile mark. Our mechanics will follow the tune-up guidelines set forth by your manufacturer to ensure we are servicing components of the vehicle that may fail in the near future. Tune-ups for newer cars typically include:
- Oil and Oil Filter Change – Routine oil changes extend the life of your engine by protecting it from excessive wear. Your owner’s manual will tell you how often to change the oil. Vehicles that run on synthetic oil typically require an oil change every 5,000 to 10,000 miles, depending on the model.
- Air Filter Replacement – Air filters prevent dust and other particulates from clogging up the engine. If the filter is not changed regularly, it can become difficult for your engine to breathe, placing stress on the engine. We recommend an air filter change every 15,000 to 30,000 miles.
- Fuel Filter – Much like the air filter, fuel filters prevent dirt, rust, and other particulates from entering the engine. Manufacturer recommendations on when to change a fuel filter vary widely. Our mechanics will perform a fuel pressure test to quickly determine whether or not your filter needs replacement.
Other Maintenance Items
